Eddy Current Testing (ECT)

Eddy Current Testing (ECT)

About Course:

Eddy-current testing (also commonly seen as eddy current testing and ECT) is one of many electromagnetic testing methods used in nondestructive testing (NDT) making use of electromagnetic induction to detect and characterize surface and sub-surface flaws in conductive materials.

This course is designed for you as an NDT operator, inspector or technician responsible for, or engaged in, practical application of eddy current testing and writing techniques and instructions for detection of flaws in cast and wrought product, material identification/determination of properties, coating thickness measurement, tube testing and weld inspections.

Course Highlights:

In this course we will teach you about eddy current testing of various components depending which sector is selected. Certification is currently available in the following sectors: Welds Tubes Aerospace structures. The course covers the techniques of surface inspection and/or bore inspection, depending on the sector selection and is supported by examinations complying with respective certification bodies (ASNT / ISO 9712 (CSWIP NDT).
