About:

API offers a 510 certification through their Individual Certification Program. The purpose of the certification is to identify individuals that possess broad knowledge in maintenance, inspection, repair, and alteration of pressure vessels. In order to receive the certification, applicants must pass a two part — one closed-book and one open-book — examination. The closed-book test requires candidates demonstrate an everyday working knowledge of API 510 and related documents. The open-book test requires candidates to show proficiency in more detailed issues where answers aren’t normally memorized but can be found in relevant documents.

Certified API 510 Pressure Vessel inspectors must have a broad knowledge base relating to maintenance, inspection, repair, and alteration of pressure vessels. The API 510 examination is designed to determine if individuals have such knowledge.

This API 510 Pressure Vessel Inspector Course explains the step-by-step method for carrying out inspection and repairs of Pressure Vessels, Heat exchanges, Columns, etc during the shut-down period of Refineries, Fertilizer Plants, Oil and Gas plants Petrochemical plants. The participant will know how to inspect and analyze the damages like corrosion, erosion, pitting, and cracking, and how to decide whether the equipment is safe for operation or needs repairs.
